Tributes have been paid to businessman Geoff Ford, who has sadly died.
Ben Gilhespy, Operations Director at the Engineering and Manufacturing Network, said: “This is a tragic loss for the industry and region.
“Geoff was a truly inspirational leader whose drive and commitment to the sector was known and respected by all. His creation of the Ford Academy showed true concern for raising the aspirations of tomorrow’s engineers and generating a stable workforce for the future.
“He will be sadly missed.”
