Businesses are being given the chance to learn more about the dangers of crime at an event being organised by Durham Constabulary.

The open evening is aimed at businesses across the area to shed light on the growing risks posed by cyber criminals.

Attendees will be given the chance to speak to trained officers to find out more about protecting themselves against cyber crime.

A spokesman for Durham Constabulary said: “Durham Constabulary has a responsibility to both investigate and prevent crime, including cyber crime that affects our local businesses.

“We would like to invite you to an open evening at Police HQ to introduce ourselves and the work being undertaken in this area.

“This is an opportunity for you to meet the staff and officers engaged in this field and find out how we can help you to help your business stay safe.”

This event will have live security demonstrations and interactive workshops.

This event is open to businesses in County Durham and Darlington only and is being held on Tuesday, October 24.
