Businesses are being given the chance to find out more about the support available to help them grow.

Peterlee Business Park Group has organised the funding and business support event to showcase the various funding pots available across the region.

Already over 100 businesses from a variety of sectors including manufacturing, automotive and business support have booked up to either exhibit or attend the event.

Organisations from around the region who work within these support sectors will be in attendance to present to businesses the funding pots open for applications.

Exhibitors include North Star Ventures, NEPIC, DIT, East Durham Business Service, Santander, East Durham College and Lloyds Bank.

The North East Automotive Alliance, Sunderland University, County Durham Engineering and Manufacturing Network (CDEMN), Durham County Council and the North East BIC will also be attending.

Leanne English, who sits on the steering group for Peterlee and Seaham business park groups said: “There is a significant amount of funding available which businesses or all sectors could be tapping into, however we know they often don’t know where to start.

“This event is all about simplifying the process for them so they can see exactly which pots of support would be best for them, and more importantly how they access it.”

The event is being held at the Gemini Building on the South West Industrial Estate in Peterlee on Tuesday, June 20, from 8.30am.

Exhibitor spaces are now extremely limited so to get your place guaranteed email joanne.urquhart@durham.gov.uk.
